Brief Answer:
Please give details.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query for your daughter.
Additional information would have helped me to discuss and suggest more:
-Age of your daughter ?
-Since when is the itching ?
-Is there any history of any injury or playing barefoot or insect bite ?
-Any discoloration / wound / redness / pus formation ?

Can you please post a clear picture of the area affected ?

The possible causes are:
Small injury to the toe-nail may be like head-on with something
Insect bite
Fungal infection is not common in children, although may occur.

I would advise you the following:
Clean the area with soap and warm water and make it dry.
Apply Liquid Povidone iodine if there is a wound or infection.
Consult a Doctor as inspection alone gives a better diagnosis and you get a prescription of the medicines which may be required.

I hope this answer helps you. Please give the feedback asked for and feel free to ask for further relevant queries if needed or if you feel there is a gap-of-communication.
Note: Hope the answers resolves your concerns, however for further guidance of skin related queries consult our Dermatologist.Click here to book a consultation
