Question: I have an itchy slap with sores on it. Sore lump behind right ear and itchy upper Chet and upper back

Hi

You might be suffering from seborrhea of scalp. It is a condition in which the glands on scalp start producing lot of secretion. This gets infected and leads to development of abscess on scalp. The lump behind ear can be an infected lymph node.

The sores on my head have now healed over, I can still feel the bumps but have been avoiding scratching them. It's had to get a picture as its under the skin and my hair is over it. My hair has been very oily of late though and your response may explain that. How do I manage this??

Mild steroid shampoo will help you

Hello
These bumps are typically present in seborrhea of scalp.
Please use a mild steroid shampoo ( flucinolone) and ketoconazole shampoo alternate day.
These will help you immensely.
Also take an anti histamine tablet to control itch.
Once the infection totally subsides, the lymph nodes will also subside.
