What Causes Joint Pain And Pin And Needles Sensation When Suffering From Stomach Ulcer?
Question: I have been diagnosed with a stomach ulcer and I am currently waiting to get an endoscopy. I am suffering with joint pain and pins and needle like feeling in my arms. Is this connected to my stomach problem? I've had blood tests and theyve all come back clear.

Hello,
The joint pain and pin and needles sensation are not related to ulcer disease. Did you get vit d and b 12 levels done? As the pain could be due to Vit D and B 12 deficiency and can also be one of the causes of paresthesias ( pin and needle sensation).

I haven't officially been diagnosed with a stomach ulcer. I am currently recovering from two years of bulimia and believe I may have caused myself to have done damage to the lining of my stomach

Are you on any meds for bulimia.
As some meds can also cause paresthesias. vit B defefiency can co exist with bulimia. B 12, folic acid and pyridoxine supplementation will help with the pins and needle sensation.

no I am not on any medication I was admitted to hospital with fast heart rate and they discovered I had dangerously low potassium levels but was never given any medication nor did my gp advise me to? I have received counselling and am recovering well without relapse my general health is good except for my gastric problems. I do feel tired quite a lot but there was no mineral difficciency in my blood tests last week
