Question: I have general arthritis. Had a hip relacement in 1995. I suffer pain when walking along with pain in most joints I thought that thigih h pain was due to hip but had it checked it outxray shows hip not the problem, but the pain is caused from something above. I see my arthritis specialist yearly and due for another visit on XXXXXXX 20. Have difficulty bending and rising from bent position. My concern is that with cane or walker, thigh pain persists in both legs. Any suggestions when I see my arthritis doctor?? Thank you

Brief Answer:
Discus with him about the condtion of implant

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your query.

Thigh pain is due to many reason apart form old cases of hip replacement. If your xray is recent one i.e less then one month then send me the report or discuss the implant condition and osteolysis surrounding the implant i.e condition of bones surrounding the impalnt with your doctor.

Get xray of lumbosacral spine in AP and Lateral view and discuss the condition of intervertebral space and straightening with your doctor.

Ask him about the muscle strengthening exercises and also about the diet and how much you can walk for daily walk.

I hope it helps.
