Brief Answer:
Migraine

Detailed Answer:
My dear,
Thanks for sending your query to us.

This may be part of whole series of events in migraine. That is usually followed some time later, about half hour later by intense unilateral headache. So you have to inform us if this visual phenomenon was followed by headache.

If not followed by headache then the reason may be ocular or neurological.

For a diagnosis of migraine you have to have previous experience of such headache as 65yrs is not a usual age to have attack for the first time.

Please do get back to us with history of headache following visual phenomenon and previous occurrence of such attacks.

I am waiting for your feedback.

Regards
