Immediate consultation with cardiologist and neurologist advised...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand your concerns.
1. Clopidogrel bisulfate is a blood thinning medication inhibiting the platelet aggregation.
2. It is usually used after heart interventions as in your case, after stent placement.
3. It is recommended to use 1 consecutive year after the most recent intervention.
4. After 1 year, a re-evaluation of the patient is done by cardiologist and the doctor who did the intervention. After such re-evaluation, will be decided whether to go for clopidogrel again or switching to other blood thinning medications.
5. You are saying to be unbalanced and having difficulties with your speech. If I was your caring doctor would advise immediate heart evaluation through:
- monitoring blood pressure
- ECG
- echocardiogram
- ct-scan of the brain for possible brain vascular episodes
6. So, for the moment, I advise to monitor your bp and record the results (especially when you are having unbalancing episodes).
And I highly recommend to schedule an immediate appointment with cardiologist and neurologist.
7. With regards to the your knee hurting, it might be due to:
- any recent trauma you might have : observe for external changes like bruising, etc.
- arthrosis: x-ray of the knee is advised to check for changes
You can take oral pain killers and apply analgesic cream and warm clothing locally.
Hope it was of help!
