Brief Answer:
Wear knee support

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Was an Xray of the knee joint taken? Since it is only on one side I could think of trivial injury to the joint aggravating early osteoarthritic changes in the knee. This will be seen on Xray of the knee joint. Osteochaondritis is another possibility. The conditions can be temporary. Ultracet is a good medicine and you can continue with it.
Avoid all the positions or activities that increase the pain esp climbing stairs raises the pressure on the knee joint by 5 times.
Wear knee cap for a week so that the pressure on the joint is eased.
Let me know if you have other concerns.

Brief Answer:
Thats's good the orthopedician ruled out serious problems.

Detailed Answer:
Since we do not know the cause of the problem, my recommendations about the knee cap still hold good. You can take Ultracet tablet as well. The good thing is that the orthopedician ruled out serious problems.

Continue the same for 14 days.
