Brief Answer: Increase in uric acid level seems to responsible. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for your query. Increase in uric acid level and weight seems to be responsible for your knee pain. You need to increase your daily water consumption. Reduce the consumption of pulses, chana, raajma in your diet .Instead increase consumption of green vegetables in your diet. This problem is controllable but you need to strictly follow your diet schedule. Consult your doctor, he will give you pills to lower the uric acid content in your blood. Lose weight if you are overweight. Every pound that you are overweight puts about 5 extra pounds of pressure on your knee when you go up and down stairs. I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care
