Brief Answer:
I don't think you need contrast study.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX lagrow
Thanks for writing to HCM

Firstly you need proper clinical examination.
Plain MRI of knee is very useful in investigating knee pain.If there is indication of any infection like osteomyelitis or there is any tumour then only contrast is administered.
Contrast material is used to check blood flow, tumor assessment and to show areas of inflammation or infection.

You have normal findings in plain MRI and there is no reason for contrast administration,so i don't think you need contrast study.Plain MRI can assess various reasons for nerve pain in knee joint.

You should consult your orthopedician for proper assessment.

Hope I have answered your question.
Further queries are most welcome.
