What Causes Large Black And Blue Area On Biceps?
Question: I just noticed a large black and blue area on my bicep. Haven't done any exercise but have had shoulder pain for the last couple of days.

Usually these are self limiting and will regress in a couple of days. You might notice change in its colour when it heals, from red to blue and finally pale to normal skin colour.
In case if does not happen, then it can get infected due to old blood being good medium for organisms to grow and give rise to problem.

Feeling hot on touching
Discomfort
Are signs of infection. You should visit your doctor and get your self examined.
