Brief Answer:
Get your implanon removed

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing..
I understand your concern..

If the implanon has expired, the effectiveness of your implanon for contraception is absent..

I didn't understand your question.. Did you mean that the delay in periods is due to implanon? If so, expired implanon will not have any effect on your periods as the hormone in it will be nil..

If your implanon is due to be removed, get it removed.. As neglected implanon can cause infection at the site of insertion and difficulty in removal..

Was your period regular since last year.. If so, get a pregnancy test with early morning urine sample.. If negative, for confirmation get a beta hcg blood test.. Value less than 10 indicates negative pregnancy..

If pregnancy test is negative, contact your doctor to get the implanon removed and take progesterone tablet for 5 days to get withdrawal bleeding.. The new implanon can be inserted within 7 days of your mensus..

Hope I have answered your query.. Feel free to ask any doubts.. Good day..
