Brief Answer:
Ultrasound

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Delay in periods can occur due to many causes.
Recent illness is one of them.
Antibiotics can alter the effect of hormonal pills but they themselves may not alter the regular menstrual cycles.
They may not affect the test results also.
So, better to consult gynecologist once, get examined and go for ultrasound.
Ultrasound helps in detecting pregnancy. In the absence of pregnancy, the possible cause of delay in periods can be identified through the ultrasound.
If hormonal imbalance due to recent illness is found to be the cause for delay in periods, you can take tablets to induce withdrawal bleeding with your doctor's advice.
Then track the ovulation and plan intercourse around the period of ovulation. This will increase the possibility of pregnancy.

Hope I have answered your question. I will be available to answer followup questions. If you are satisfied with my answer, please give your review at the end of the discussion.
Take care.
