Question : Why do I have major left sided back pain & belly pain after a colonoscopy 4 days ago? They removed a polyp & took 4 biopsies... I can barly get up w/out help & I can 't walk w/the pain. I am also having bouts of severe rectal bleeding.

                                    Brief Answer:
Rectal bleeding alarming
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX....
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.
Colonoscopy and biopsy may leave your gut in spasm and may lead to dull episodic pain.
The pain may also be due to the primarh problem for which the coloscopy was needed.
Sharp pain if any may be due to ureteric stones.
Rectal bleed of any degree is an indication that youyou must visit a surgeon on urgent basis and you should get your hemoglobin checked because excess bleeding may need blood transfusion.
I hope the advise will be helpful for you.
