What Causes Left-sided Burning Sensation On Penis And Frequent Urge To Urinate?

Question: I recently started having a burning sensation on the left side of the head of my penis. I also have a frequent urge to urinate when my clothes rub on it. There is no redness, no discoloration, no real pain, just irritation/burning feeling. The meatus does not appear inflamed, but noticed a red line on the inside of the meatus & edge of urethra. I'm freaking out a bit. Did I just injury my penis or did I pick something up?? My penis did accidentally touch the inside of a very public restroom. I know you can't get std's that way, but this is abnormal for me.
Brief Answer:
Yeast infection, urethritis, HSV have to ruled out.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.
You had not mentioned anything about your sexual activity. It is quiet unusual to acquire a STD through a toilet seat contact.
If there is mild inflammation of the glans penis you might have experienced such a feeling of burning sensation or discomfort on rubbing of clothes. Yeast infection could be a possibility.
As you have an urge for urination, examine your urine for the presence of infection.
HSV infection is rarely can cause such feeling.
Consult your physician and a care examination and investigations will help to find the cause. Get well soon.
