Question : I am a male 42 years old . I have been having a sharp pain when i breath in on my left lateral side .

What you are experiencing is more like pulmonary related pain and it's atypical for cardiac problems. As a such you have nothing to worry about.

However i would like to suggest to do the following examinations:
- ECG
- Chest x ray
- Blood work
- Abdominal ultrasound
This will help to find out the exact cause of your symptoms.
