I am writing for my husband. Last night, his knees buckled and he fell down to the ground on his knees. It happened three times in a row and he has a round raw circle of skin removed from below his knee. It happened after sleeping on train for over an hour with his legs tightly pressed up to the back of the seat in front of his. However, this happened about two weeks ago. He was traveling in XXXXXXX for work and experienced three seizures not tonic clonic. He has diagnosed epilepsy and takes Onfi and lamitical and ativan as needed. He came home from XXXXXXX and had major injuries to his knees and could not explain them. Seems to be the same thing happened (leg buckling) except he can't recall it due to seizure. Other unexplainable symptoms are a type of double vision where one eye does not follow the other. Last year he went to ER twice for severe dizziness - where he could walk accompanied by nausea. He was released and sent to ENT. His neurologist told him to take an ativan at first signs of eye trouble of dizziness and this seems to have controlled that problem. But now the knee buckling has began. He neurologist has noted small vessel disease on last MRI. The stroke neurologist did a full workout, dismissed small vessel disease as where it should be for 44 year old man, She wants him to repeat the following blood work - which was abnormal __ Anti-Cardiolipin AB IgG/IgM/IgA (amb) and Lupus Anticoagulent (amb) . He has yet to repeat blood work. His seizures had been under some control with the medicine listed above but he is having more break through seizures again. Additionally he suffers from respiratory illness somewhat regularly. Please if you can make any suggestions - that would be greatly appreciated!
Demyelinating nerve disease could be related to his problems.

Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have carefully and thoroughtly gone through your query. A proper clinical examination is needed to be able to comment properly. However, an EEG will be helpful. If it has already been done, it would help if you could upload the report or interpretation.
I understand that there could be some small vessel disease. Please talk to your neurologist about it. The present tests mentioned are to exclude it and I would suggest you to get them done. However, I still would prefer to exclude a demyelinating nerve disease. Testing for serum anti-AChR antibodies and Repetitive nerve stimulation studies should be helpful in its diagnosis.
