                                            Question : Is it common to have such severe pain one day after a mid diaphyseal non displaced tibial fracture temporarily stabilized in a splint that you can't move the limb or get out of bed?

The pain after the splint has been applied can be due to the soft tissue injury or a slight movement of the fractured fragments. There can be a pain for a few days. The pain should subside on its own. Do not bear any weight on the leg. Let the soft tissue also heal.
Do continue taking the pain killer you have been prescribed.
