Brief Answer:
Wire stenting is very good to prevent clots

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

Thanks for the query.

Kindly answer a few queries for me to be in a better position to help you.

Do you have a clot in your leg which has been confirmed ?

Have you received any treatment for the Spinal stenosis ?

In cases of deep vein thrombosis, where a clot develops in the deep veins of the leg, it is a risk for further clot formation and this can go to the lungs and can cause shortness of breath and can become serious.

Usually a metallic stent is insured into a narrowed deep vein after to prevent clot formation or even after the clot has dissolved. This is a very good treatment to prevent further clot formation.

It is advisable to get treated for the potential risk factors like Protein C and Protein S deficiency in the cloud, bleeding time, clotting time of the blood.

Also blood thinners are usually given to prevent clot formation.

Try to walk around every 15 minutes for about 5 minutes. This will help maintain circulation in the legs. Also graduated compression stockings are useful in preventing clots. The ulcers need to be dressed regularly. Keep the limbs elevated atleast 6 inches above the bed level when you lie down. Avoid compressing or massaging the legs as this can aggravate clot formation and transport to the lungs.

Kindly upload the Ultrasound and MRI Reports for me review.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

Brief Answer:
Follow precautions to avoid clot formation

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

Thanks for the reply.

Usually calf pressing can cause pain in cases of deep vein thrombosis. In your car there is no pain so it is a good sign.

It is advisable to be on blood thinners depending on Clotting time, Bleeding time, PT, aPTT, INR values.

Use graduated compression stockings and perform limb elevation.

The stenting can also be put which will prevent the clots.

Kindly upload the MRI Report. Avoid bending forwards or lifting weights. Apply hot water bag to relieve the painful muscle spasms at the back and lega. Take pain killers twice a day for a week after consulting the Doctor treating you for the clot.

I hope I have answered your query.

Dr. Aashish Raghu
