Question : I At 28 weeks pregnant was measuring bit smaller (25 cm). Is this likely to be a problem? My midwife
Measured
Measured
Brief Answer:
A single measurement is not the problem.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
What is important is that over time there is good growth. Also the amount of amniotic fluid is often the best indicator early on of a healthy pregnancy. If the fetus is active and the amniotic fluid amount is normal my guess is that you will soon be back to normal growth measures. An ultrasound scan would be indicated to check for fetal growth an amniotic fluid levels.
I hope that everything is normal on the ultrasound and then I think you can quit worrying especially if the fetus is active.
Regards,

Is 54 kg under weight at 29 weeks?
Could this cause probs for the baby?
Could this cause probs for the baby?
Brief Answer:
It depends on your starting weight.
Detailed Answer:
If you have gained some weight during your pregnancy you should be okay. The first half of the pregnancy the fetuses develops all its parts but it doesn't really start growing until during the second half. So long as you gained some weight somewhere between 10 and 15 pounds the baby will be okay.

Before preg i was about 58 kg. i got very ill first trimester therefore dropped to 51kg and throughout ive got to 54kg.
Brief Answer:
You are gaining now. That's great.
Detailed Answer:
Pleas continue to do what you were doing. You were gaining weight now as the baby is just beginning to also put on weight. A more critical measure of well-being is that the fetal amniotic fluid is normal. I think an ultrasound will be very helpful in putting everyone's mind at ease. Many women drop some weight at the beginning of pregnancy when nausea is so intense. Please don't be overly concerned or overcompensate by overrating now.
