What Causes Less Bleeding During Periods?

Question: I had my periods but the bleeding was only for one day. Have used oral contraceptive pills after my last intercourse. Its my 5th day of mensturation and I am feeling pukish and have headache am I pregnant?

I understand your concern.

I had been through your symptoms and in my opinion you are not pregnant.

One day bleeding could be due to hormonal imbalance caused by the oral contraceptive pills which you have taken earlier. Headache and nausea may be due to stomach upset caused by the same medication.

Do get yourself examined if you continue to have the above symptoms also do a home pregnancy test to rule out the same.

- IUCD( intrauterine contraceptive device)
- Hormonal injection- depo-provera
- hormonal implant- nexplanon
- Female condom
- sterilisation ( if family completed)
