Question : My baby is 5 months old and is exclusively breasted. The last few days who burps have smelt like poop. Till about 4 months who pooped everyday now he goes about every 7 days. He did suffer reflux and used to spit up a lot but that has seemed to settle down. Should I be worried??

Brief Answer: no need to worry Detailed Answer: Hi Thanks for writing to health care magic. It's pretty normal for babies on exclusive breastfeeding to pass stools once in 5 to 7 days. If your baby is otherwise active and feeding well , there is no need to worry. It should setlle soon. Once you start weaning from 6 months, she might pass even more frequently. Wishing your baby speedy recovery. Regards Dr Arun
