What Causes Ligamentous Laxity In A Child?

My query is "could it get recovered to normal as she ages?' or it would remain in her entire life ?, or any treatment to cure the same.
Massage and exercise can cause improvement to a large extent.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The laxity of ligaments at her age is usually congenital but regular massage and exercise can improve the muscle strength and overcome the laxity to a large extent. She can recover almost fully as she ages and does a regular exercise to build up the muscle mass. You can consult a physiotherapist for proper instructions regarding the exercise.
She can lead a normal life. Please do not worry.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.

This is some kind of relief thing for us as parents. We were in doubt that our child would have flat feet (as socially it is not good thing for girls,). My follow-up question is:our doctor (pediatric-orthopedic) has not suggested any thing like massage and exercise that you suggested !, and also "it would remain same in her life, because it is genetic" he added. But you said it would recover almost fully as she ages.
kindly washout my doubt.
Chances of improvement are there as the hyperlaxity is only partial.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The hyperlaxity that is less than 30% has the chances of improvement with age. It is not likely to affect all the connective tissues and is not associated with any major joint injuries. It is not associated with any major deformity also. That is why there are chances of improvement if the muscle strength improves. This can be helped with regular massage and exercise that will help in increasing the blood circulation in the area.
There is no harm in going for a regular massage and exercise at home. You can learn all these from a physiotherapist or a chiropractor.
The laxity will gradually improve. Let us be hopeful.
Hope my answer is helpful.
