Question : I have an light brown discolored spot of skin which I'm worried about, wondering if it's normal?

I have seen the picture you have uploaded.
You don't have to worry at all as this is a cafe au lait macule which is a benign pigmentation seen in many normal individuals.
You can leave it as such but if you want to remove it for cosmetic reasons you have to go for laser treatment.
