blood counts, ESR, blood electrolytes, rotation tests may help.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
Lightheaded with feeling hot in head could be related to anxiety or stress or it could be transient means it lasts for a short time and subsides by itself.
Perhaps if these symptoms are not troubling your day to day work, then you should wait for a couple of days.
Meanwhile, you may take proper hydration and electrolyte balance with some symptomatic antihistamines treatment like betahistidine or cinnarizine 25 mg for symptomatic relief.
However if the problem is persistent or it happens frequently, you should see a doctor preferably ENT specialist and get evaluated further.
I will suggest you to undergo routine blood counts, ESR, blood electrolytes, tests for vestibular (balance) system like electronystagmography or rotation tests to diagnose the cause for dizziness.
Your local physician or GP will know about the test. He/she can order the above tests (after taking complete history and thoroughly clinical examination) like temperature, pulse, blood pressure which will enable us to arrive a diagnosis.
If you have anxiety or stress problem,he may also prescribe you anti-anxiety medications (like recita forte).
Hope this helps and let me know if you have more questions.
Regards,
Dr.Sandip Kabra
