Brief Answer:
may be menieres

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

There are different possible causes for dizziness/lightheadness, vertigo (sensation of spinning or of environment spinning) but 3 of the most common causes are: (1) BPPV (2) menieres (3) vestibular neuronitis

Of these 3 conditions, menieres is associated with tinnitus (ringing or other abnormal sounds in the ear).

It is possible that menieres is the reason for the tinnitus and the lightheadness.

Tinnitus does have other causes such as: (1) hearing loss
(2)infection of the ear
(3)anemia
(4)side effect of medication
(5)wax build up in the ear
(6)hypertension
(7)head injury
(8)mass

In many cases, tinnitus cannot be reversed unfortunately.

IF it is due to menieres (an ENT doctor can determine this), treatment includes the following: (1)avoiding possible triggers such as salt, caffeine, chocolate

(2)smoking cessation

(3)diuretic medication such as hydrochlorothiazide may also help

(4) in some persons a course of oral or intramuscular steroids would also be useful

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
