Question : My husband gets these smells that last a couple of minutes. Lightheaded, clammy, sweats, gas, and flushed feeling. He is 81 with a pacemaker.

Hi,

I am sorry for the situation your husband is in.

I advise to measure his:
- blood pressure (bp)
- blood sugar levels (bsl)

at the moment he is having such episodes.

Furthermore, when was the last time he did check his pacemaker? Sometimes, pacemaker dysfunction might give such clinic.

At the end, get him checked by geriatric to determine the right diagnosis and can discuss this further with him/her.
