Posted on Thu, 12 May 2016
Question: Could these be XXXXXXX lines and do they signal an underlying health issue. I have one blocked fallopian tube, could the lines signal pid? I have no history of stds. I damaged my toenails running 18 months ago but they have completkey grown back subce yet they still seem to be growing with horizontal ridges. What health issues can ridges in toenails signify?

Brief Answer:
It could be due to previous injury.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Thanks for trusting HCM about your health care.
I have gone through your history as well as the images and understand your concerns.

These lines could be due to injury of toe nail previously but yes, it could be an indication of so many medical illness.

In your case it could be due to injury of toenail but it may occur in case of fungal infection.

So it is not directly related to PID but fungal infection may cause PID.
Are you having any other symptoms of PID?

These lines could be due to some vitamins, minerals and iron deficiency also.

Hope found useful, feel free to discuss more information.

Good luck.
Regards
