Question : I have been having digestive problems for about 10 months now. I was diagnosed with IBS and NERD (non-erosive GERD) based on my symptoms. Intermittent loose stools and burning in solar plexis. The burning feeling is relieved by burping but I still get this pain on the right side and around my side a little bit. It is worse if I eat spicy food, or tomatoes, and possibly coffee. The pain is usually mild, but often appears for days or weeks. Sometimes yellowish stools, usually normal color, but very unformed.
I have had a full colonoscopy- all clear and good.
endoscopy- the doctor said my esophagus looked "perfect"
abdominal CT with contrast (also perfect)
blood test- all good, including liver and thyroid.
stool test for blood, c dif, parasite. all good.
But because of the persistent nature of my diagnosed functional issues, I worry a little about pancreas or gallbladder issues. My doctor (gastro specialist) assures me that this is impossible given my tests. But I never received a HIDA scan or ultrasound.
In addition, I sometimes have itchy hands- a rash that disappears after 15 minutes or so- especially in dry warm places. It makes me stressed.
The doctor gave me PPIs, but they gave me diarreah as well.

                                    Brief Answer:
Less likely to be pancreatic or gallbladder issues
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.
Your doctor was right.
The symptoms you have, the nature of pain and the test reports do not indicate you have pancreatic or gallbladder issues.
You are having GERD and diarrhea predominant IBS.
You can take Nexium and Librax for relief.
If Nexium causes diarrhea you can take probiotics along with it.
The skin rash could be due to allergy. You can consult a dermatologist to look at the lesions to confirm the cause and for treatment.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.
