Question : About a year ago I lost my sense of taste and the ability to smell things. I am 76 years old, female, taking tegretol for the last 25 years.
Brief Answer:
Get Mri
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your query.I think I may be able to help you.
The symptoms of the query are quite suggestive of a damage to the brain. The affect may have been similar to a stroke. The area affected may have caused you to have minor symptoms.
An MRI BRAINTREE and CAROTID DOPPLER are definitely warranted.
I hope that the information helps you.
