What Causes Loss Of Balance And Short Term Memory Loss After Chiari Surgery?
Question: I am looking for a top neurologist that treats Chiari 1 Malformation. I had the Chiari surgery on 12/18/2014 and was told by the nerosurgeon that 'it had been growing for a very long time and that there was more damage than he expected to see. He did remove it all.' Now I am experiencing symptoms ie: loss of balance, short term memroy loss, and more. My surgeon says I need to see a Neurologist that specializes in Chiari since he isn't able to help me with the symptoms. therefore, I'm looking for a 'top', experienced neurologist who treats Chiari symptoms. The neurologist also has to be In-Network at United Health Care. Thank you. A. Goldstein

Dr. Panwar, I went into UHC.COM and looked up all 3 physicians. None of which came up as a physician in the United Health Care network. Is there additional information you can give me so I can research this further. As of now, I'm stuck.
Are they within a bigger group and therefore may not show up individually? I am in the Chicagoland area, are these physicians out of Illinois, even if they are in another State, they still would have pulled up as physicians in the United Health Care System.
