Question: my mother of age 78 years admitted in intensive care unit of a medical college on 28-03-2016, because she was found unconsious on the day morning with high body temperature, breaths very slow, urine and stool passed out.
the doctor on duty did defibrillation to her heart.Given oxygen.
CT scan of brain done and it is ok.
Doctors suspect some infection.but blood culture showed no infection.
lumbar pucture test also negative.
she was given antibiotics. doctors told she is improved and shifted to hospital room on 01-04-2016
but within 30 mins, her body temperature raised and she begun to suffocate, and she again admitted in ICU.
this things repeated one more time on 03-04-2016.
Now she is in medical ICU again.

Brief Answer:
Viral Encephalitis could be a possibility.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
I am so sorry to know her state.
She is probably suffering from sepsis.
Founding her unconscious with Urine and stools passed hints that she probably had seizures.
Now seizures associated with fever is usually seen in Meningitis. If lumbar puncture is normal, this could be Viral encephalitis.
I would advice in such case broad spectrum antibiotics and Contract MRI of her brain.
I would also like to rule out malaria and Thyroid related issues in her scenario.
Also recommended is widal test to rule out Enteric Encephalopathy.
Please share my opinion with your treating physician.
I hope it helps you.
If you have any further query, please ask me.. I wish for her a speedy recovery.
