What Causes Low BP Readings Inspite Of Being Anti Hypertensives?

Question: Hi,

Last night i measured my BP at home and it was 100/60. I took the following medication before bedtime...
Lisinprol 10-12.5 HTZC for BP
Trazodone 50 MG one XXXXXXX for the first time to help me with sleep.
I was waking up every hour last night and it seems the med does not work from the first day

This morning I took a multivitamin supplement for men

around noon, i measured my BP and it was 100/57

I drank a cup of instant coffee and that was the first cup since 4 months.

while I was sitting working on computer.... I felt a warming sensation in my throat and a sudden lightheaded.

I checked my heart beat and it was 95 and BP 112/72

I laid down but i noticed that my heart beat is skipping , i think its better now but still feel the warming sensation in my throat and lightheaded feeling

should I tell my cardiologist about this and i am lucky to have the holter monitor on today for 24 hours where I went to the doctor for chest pain last Monday, where my cardiologist suggesting the cause for the pain related to back muscle issue but he wanted to make sure its not the heart muscle.

any suggestion and what do you recommend to avoid or help when this happen?

Brief Answer:
Your blood pressures are too low!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Your blood pressure values are too low and require that you talk to your cardiologist. For someone on drugs, having such low values may signal over treatment and warrants dosage and/or drugs adjustments. Let your doctor look into that.

For now, there is no reason to get too worried as there are no major red flags. Follow through and all would be addressed accordingly. Keep me updated with the holter motioning results but am pretty convinced this would be normal.

I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more clarifications if need be.

Brief Answer:
These blood pressures are too low!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

these low values may be responsible as they can cause increased heart rate and symptoms like dizziness, palpitation, light headaches, blur vision, body weakness, etc. Talk with your doctors and let's continue from there.

Thanks.
