Brief Answer:
Yes tests needed

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for your query.

I need to know how much weight loss have you experienced? If it is significant then you need to run the routine tests that include liver function tests. If liver function is reduced on test report then you can get hepatitis B test.

Brief Answer:
You should take high calorie foods

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

The weight did not go back to previous values. From now please increase the calorie intake. Add high calorie foods like cheese, butter, ghee, cream etc to your foods. For example add 2 tbsp of cream to milk and take it before sleeping. Similarly you can add cheese, butter or ghee to your sabzi , noodles burger etc to make it higher calorie. Ensure can also be added if you have nutritional deficiencies like anemia, etc.

Take 4 proper meals and 4 snacks in a day. Snacks can include cookies, pastries, cakes etc . Take these until you gain weight with normal BMI limits.

The basic tests including liver function tests can be done. This should be accompanied with a physical examination by an internal medicine specialist and ear, nose and throat specialist.
