Brief Answer:
Muscle spasm

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Longer drives definitely push you at risk for low back pain. The back muscles are so small and they cannot sustain huge pressure for so long time. So you got to take breaks every 15 min of your drive and may be more frequently if required. I also suggest that you adopt other mode of transport like good suspension bus.

I suggest that you can undergo back strengthening exercises meanwhile to strengthen the muscles. You need physiotherapy as well. Never drive if it pains as the muscles cry further and lose blood supply and thus pain.

Next I suggest you to for a simple xray of lower lumbar spine and meet a Orthopedic sugeon.
Note: For further queries, consult a joint and bone specialist, an Orthopaedic surgeon. Book a Call now.
