Question: Had blood work done and my platelet count is low 83l but my MPV is high 11.6h

A high MPV in individual with low platelets indicates the release of platelets from the bone marrow in to the blood circulation

This can be caused by things like surgery, infection, inflammation or from heavy blood loss

I will suggest you too replay the test maybe after 2 weeks
