What Causes Low Body Temperature Along With Pain In Shoulder?
Question: Last Sunday for a short period of time had a very low body temp suddenly my throat felt like it was closing up and both of my arms from below my elbow to right above my shoulder were in serious pain. I started to feel better on Tuesday and went along with my regular routines. Now my legs and my arms feel heavy and my temperature has averaged around 74 and my blood pressure is averaging 102/62 should I be concerned or is this my body fighting off an infection?

Firstly as you mentioned body temperature of 74 cannot be accepted as body temperature below 95° F is a medical emergency and can lead to death if not treated promptly. I kindly request you to please correctly monitor your body temperature and tell me appropriately. Your throat if congested it is possible that you are having viral or bacterial infection which is usually accompanied by pain in body or parts and having chills and rigors. Your BP is also quite low you can take sugar with salt solution orally at frequent intervals. If your temperature is extremely low you must visit emergency hospital services nearest to you available. You must keep your body warm and avoid exposure to cold and don't be alone. Hypothermia is usually due to exposure to extreme cold conditions. Risk factors are sepsis, hypocalcaemia, hypothyroidism, etc. You will need various investigations to determine the cause.
