What Causes Low Grade Fever, Severe Headache, Vomiting And Sensitivity To Light?

default

Question: My 60 year old fiancé has a severe headache, vomiting, sensitivity to light, low grade fever and dizziness. He has a history of headaches most likely caused by concussions, including a cerebral headache, as a teen playing football and as a young adult as an ironworker.
He says he almost feels like he did when having a concussion. However this episode he has had vomiting and has fallen twice. I'm a little concerned but he is a lot more stubborn. Could you provide feedback on whether he should seek medical help?

Brief Answer:
Yes.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Fever even low grade, severe headache, vomiting and sensitivity to light raise concern for meningitis. Meningitis is a medical emergency and requires immediate investigation and (if confirmed) treatment.

She should be taken to the ER at once!

Hope I have answered your query.
