Question : Hi there. I am a 24 year old male. I went out on the weekend and drank a lot of alcohol, and only went to the toilet once in about 7 hours. I now feel pain in my lowe left abdomen, burning sensation when urinating, and a little itchy down there. I have never been someone that has had a strong urine flow, so nothing has really changed there. I suffer with really bad anxiety, so I don't know if most of this is in my head or not. Can you please help? Thank you

Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have burning urination and pain in lower abdomen on left side after you held on urine for 7 hours .

It is common to get pain in lower abdomen and burning urination when one attempts to hold urine for long time .

This is mainly due to transient congestion of bladder .However there is nothing to be worried about it .The symptoms will go away within few days .

Ensure to drink more water .

You may take urine alkalizer thrice daily .

Thank you for your help. I didn't hold onto not going to the toilet on purpose, I just didn't need to do. I have also been going to the toilet quite frequently the last 3 days, I think maybe because I am thinking something is wrong. Clear urine most of the time. And sometimes I have to wait about 15-20 seconds to go. Is this normal

In absence of any embarrassing symptoms like burning ,urgency etc the onl frequency for urination has no significance at all .

It is mostly anxiety related .More you neglect it earlier you will get cured .

Just to confirm, my symptoms are -
- constant itch feeling on penis
- pain lower left abdomen
- slight pain left side when urunating
- feels like urinating more
- slow start of urination

Feels better when not thinking about it, but I keep feeling it.
