Question : Lower abdominal pain and more than normal bowel movements
Brief Answer:
It could be due to infection of the gut.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Lower abdominal pain and Increased bowel movements can be due to infection of the gut.
I prescribe Antibiotic like Rifaximine and Metronidazole tablets along with a Pre and Probiotic capsule to my patients with similar complaints. Anti spasmodic tablet will also be added. Your local doctor will know about these drugs.
In the meanwhile please avoid outside food. Drink water which is boiled initially. Include plenty of yogurt in your diet.
Please consult your doctor if the pain continues and get an X ray abdomen and Ultrasound abdomen.
Nothing to worry.
It will come down.
Wish you good health.
Regards
