What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain?

Question: I havehorrible pain in my abdominal area, especially the lower left. Sharp, feels like someone has grabbed my insides and is twisting. What do i do?

You may have acute abdomen. Go for ultrasound abdomen. search for cause and take treatment accordingly.

Is there anything i can do in the meantime just to give me some relief? At times i cannot even urinate or move because i hurt so badly...not to mention sleep!

Hi dear,

I can understand your concern.

It is better to avoid anything orally for time being except medications like analgesics. You can also apply hot bag fomentation for pain relief.

As it is severe abdominal pain, it would be better to see your doctor at the earliest and he/she might suggest for an Ultrasound abdomen to know the exact cause of pain and would treat you accordingly.
