Question : what ar the possible causes for lower back and abdomonal pain? i am on macrobid for possible uto, the 3rd in 3 mo. have an appt.. with pcp later today; would appreciate some feedback.

is there a physician working on this, or did i forget to press the right button on the computer?

As an Urologist,i must advise you to complete treatment of UTI, at present.
I would like to know , if each time you had antibiotic, was urine culture tested.
You may send whatever blood reports are available.
The possible causes of lower back and abdominal pain, are several.
You would need to have an ultrasound scan of the abdomen, along with blood reports of sugar,creatinine, sodium, and potassium.
See an Urologist for a complete check-up with reports and to see the urethral prolapse.
You can mention the dosage and duration of the other medication, you're taking.
For a temporary relief,you can take an analgesic, safest after check-up.
