Question: I"m taking Clonidine, Campral and Gabapentin for detox. Since I started taking them, my lower back has been killing me. Is there a relationship between the two?

Brief Answer:
Yes, quite likely there is sir

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. You are right in suspecting your lower back pain to be a side effect of the medications that you are on. You should know sir that all three medications have a side effect of joint and/or muscular pain, but out of the three gabapentin does have a rare side effect of back pain listed.

So in my opinion, although either of them or all of them put together can result in back pain; gabapentin is more likely to cause such a presentation.

I hope you find my response helpful sir. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help you.

Best wishes.

Is this something Motrin will care of? If so, how many should I take? Two isn't doing anything.

Brief Answer:
Not much, but it can; better to avoid

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again sir.

Pain management medications should help relieve the pain, but only to a certain extent. As long as the source is present, the symptom will not subside completely. So taking pain killers like motrin may help, but only to a certain extent sir.

I would advise you to completely avoid pain killers and choose one of the two option:

+Re-visit your doctor for a change in prescription
+Re-visit your doctor for a mild pain management medication to help suppress your pain to a certain extent at least

I hope this information helps you sir. Please write back to me anytime and for anything, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.
