What Causes Lower Left Abdominal Pain And Gas?

Question : Lower dull pain in the lower left abdomen,about 2inches over from the umbilicus and 2 inches down. When I lay in a fetal position it helps some but not 100%, I have taken simethicon pills and fiber con pills and used a fleet enama which helped some. In the last 24hrs I have had light bowel movements and in the middle of the night about 5:00am I took a percocet and it allowed me to sleep,now it is 4:14pm and the pain is less and still dull. Do you think I need med. attention or do you think it may just be gas,I almost forgot to let you know my abdomen is not bloated. Thanks XXXXXXX

Sorry for the delay in my response.

Need not worry, your symptoms appear as to be due to coclic pain secondary to gas movements in the intestines.

Continue Simethicone pills and fiber pills for another two days.

If you notice any increase in body temperature along with recurrence of pain then you must visit ER as it could be due to inflamed appendix.
