                                    Brief Answer:
coloniscopy is necessary
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thank you for the query.
Lower left abdominal pain is quite characteristic for diverticulitis. Especially if you have had constipation. Do not know what answer about the colon cancer did you recieve, but as long as you wont have colonoscopy done, you can not be sure about it. Even if CEA is normal.
CT wont get any aswer either.
And as the risk of colon cancer significantly rises over the age of 50, colonoscopy is strongly advisable.
Other reasons of your pain may be adhesions after uterine remival or uti.
Diverticles can be diagnosed with colonoscopy as well. So please start with it.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
