Hi,

Quivering is due to fibrillations of the muscles in the area. The fibrillations can be due to many reasons due to varied inherent electrical activity.

Aging, electrolyte disturbance, injury of the muscle, medications etc are common and noteworthy.

My suggestion to you is if the quivering last more than 24 hours, you can get it checked at local GP office.
