default
Posted on Tue, 29 Sep 2015
Question: I've had lower right abdominal pain for 3 days, today will be the fourth day. It's mostly when I cough, it hurts bad enough that I put my hand there to stop it from jarring around. I don't have a fever that I know of. I have been nauseas off and on, but that's not unusual for me. it feels inflamed. What could this be?

Brief Answer:
Clinical evaluation and investigations ASAP to get the correct diagnosis

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of pain in right lower abdomen today being fourth day. Increases on coughing - no fever but nausea is present, feels inflamed.

The commonest causes are:
Appendicitis, severe typhlitis, anything related to the ovarian or tubal inflammation of whatsoever cause, rather any process that has inflammation going on inside and needs the following. It has already been fourth day.
- Ultrasonography of the abdomen and CT scan if needed to get details or to confirm or rule out a certain problem.
-Tests of blood, urine and stool.
- Clinical evaluation and examination by a General Surgeon preferably and the additional investigations to get a proper diagnosis and treatment as soon as possible.

The treatment will obviously be as per the findings.
I hope this answer helps you to get an early diagnosis and proper treatment.
