Question : Hello, My name is XXXX. I am an 18 year old female looking for answers. I was healthy and perfectly fine until I was in a car accident in April of 2014 and a few days after I started experiencing sharp lower right abdominal pains along with low back pains. Since then I have had every test under the sun it feels like. I even had my gallbladder removed because my Doctor thought that was the problem, the pains never went away and still no one knew what was wrong. My doctor told me I had IBS because following my gallbladder removal I experienced IBS symptoms for a very short time but eventually they went away and I am still left with unchanged lower back pain and sharp lower right abdominal pains made worse by pressing in that area. This has gone on for 9 months and hasn't changed. I recently went to a chiropractor to try and solve the back pains and he told me he doesn't know whats wrong after about a month of working on my back twice a week with no signs of it getting better . I am looking for someone to tell me wha t this may be. I have been checked for everything, appendix, ive had a colonoscopy, blood test, ct scans, ultra sounds to check kidneys, pancreas, liver, and uterus for cysts etc. I had never had any of these problems until a few days after a car accident.

Brief Answer:
Can be a nerve related problem.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain in the lower right abdomen with no detectable pathology on the scans can be due to a nerve related pain. Any injury to a nerve or slight compression of nerve root at the level of lumbar spine can cause this. You need to consult a neurologist and get an MRI scan of the lower back done to detect any such problem.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
