Question : I have a lump in my throat, it is on the right side in the center of my throat, it can be pushed in and out, i get sore throats a lot lately and i feel like the lymphnode under my right jaw is swollen too, i also just got my wisdom teeth out a week ago and from what im told they were impacted, does this have to do with that? or do i have like thyroid cancer or something?
Brief Answer:
Need not worry much.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to HCM forum.
Swelling in the throat with associated lymph node pain / enlargement usually indicates bacterial pharyngitis. This can be treated with antibiotics like azithromycin or amoxicillin+clavulonate for 3-5 days. Your doctor will guide you in this.
Meanwhile, avoid cold drinks and do frequent warm saline gargles.
This has nothing to do with wisdom teeth or thyroid cancer.
Hope this will answer your query.
If you have further questions, I will be happy to help.
Thank you.
