What Causes Lump Inside Penis?

default
Posted on Mon, 3 Aug 2015
Question: I have a lump inside my penis. It is located at the base of the head of the penis. It is not visible and is about the size of a pea. It causes no pain as long as no pressure is applied. Erections are possible but cause some discomfort. I recently had kidney stone, could this be the cause of my problem? The lump started after the kidney stone pain subsided. Do you have any idea what this might be. Do you think this could be an infection or a stone stuck. Thanks for your help

Brief Answer:
It is unlikely to be a stone. Consult a Surgeon.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Where exactly is the lump? Is it on the lower side or upper? If it is on the lower side then it could be a stone - though it is very rare for stones to get stuck in the urethra. If it is then it can be easily removed by any Surgeon or Urologist.
If not then we will come to know only by examining you as to what it could be.
I suggest you consult a Surgeon as he would be able to examine you and tell you the best course of action.
Without being examined it would be difficult to tell and it is not wise to sit over a lump like this.
Therefore please get the consultation done at the earliest.
Do let me know if I can guide you any further on this issue or if I have not been able to answer the question completely.
Take care,
