Question : Over the last several months, I have noticed that my left nipple itches a lot and will be puckered at the top of the nipple at times. This past Saturday, I had extreme burning behind the nipple and felt a lump right above the nipple.

Brief Answer: sono mammogram and a needle biopsy needed Detailed Answer: Hello Thanks for writing to us with your health concern. I think you should consult a gynaecologist, particularly as you are on HRT. The lump, itching and puckering suggest a possible pathology such as a cyst, ductal ectasia, fibroadenoma or a growth. Imaging - sono mammogram - and a needle biopsy will be the next steps for investigation, after clinical examination. All the best Please feel free to discuss further.
